Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy is a collaborative process in which a confidential, helping relationship can develop between you and Dr. Vogel. Within this unique relationship, you can gain self-knowledge and more accurately understand yourself and the world around you. Individual psychotherapy can help you explore your feelings and actions, motivations, fears and wishes, relationships with others, choices and decisions, as well as your current situation. In time, this can allow you to make sense of any troubling patterns you are experiencing and free you to make new choices. Dr. Vogel's primary areas of expertise involve insight-oriented approaches with adults, particularly those experiencing dissatisfying relationships and low self-esteem, along with adults who desire to explore religious and spiritual matters.

ADult Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is a special form of treatment provided by Dr. Vogel that can allow you to access the deepest and most profound reaches of your inner world. Its process will invite you to carefully examine what lies beneath the surface of your thoughts, feelings, and actions. In other words, through this committed relationship, which typically meets several times each week over an extended period of time, you can shed light on your unconscious motives in empowering ways through this exploratory process. Psychoanalysis can help you to not only gain better insight into your overall functioning, especially into the ways your past continues to shape the quality of your present life, it can also help you to develop aspects of your personality in life-changing ways. The results of this form of treatment can afford you significant relief from symptoms as well as more satisfying work, relationships, and creative ventures.

Psychological Testing

Psychological testing (also referred to as psychological assessment) is a process used to measure a variety of mental abilities and attributes, including achievement, aptitude, personality dynamics, and neuropsychological functioning. Dr. Vogel weaves together the information gathered with this process to generate hypotheses about an individual and their behaviors, temperamental characteristics, and capabilities. The results can then be used as a tool to inform academic or vocational placement, determine the presence of a learning disability or developmental delay, or track intellectual development. Psychological testing can also help to detect problems (with aspects such as with attention or memory) in order to guide future care. Dr. Vogel is particularly experienced with psychological testing related to academic difficulties with adolescents and adults.

Clinical Consultation

Dr. Vogel provides clinical consultation, which primarily emphasizes the use of insight-oriented approaches with adults, to licensed mental health professionals. This service can be arranged in-person or remotely.

Educational Seminars

Dr. Vogel facilitates educational seminars on various subjects, including stress and anxiety, mood management, as well as the relationship between psychology, religion, and spirituality.

Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart, and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Do not search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.
